6th May 2017 : Arrival Antananarivo (D)

 Arrival at the airport Ivato Antananarivo with a flight booked by yourself. Upon arrival, you can get your visa for about 25 euro (depending  on  exchange rate  of the day) at the airport. After have taken your luggage, we suggest to change some money. Our driver/guide can help  you to  indicate the money transfer  office. He will wait for you directly after the customs border on the airport. He will bring you to the  Belvedere  Hotel in Center town for the night.

 N.B. If you arrive early, we can organize visits of different hotels or make a city walk.




7th May 2017:  Antananarivo – Tulear (B, D)(Internal flight)

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will bring you to the airport for the inland flight to the South West, to Tulear. : 08h00 – 10h35 (flight over Fort-Dauphin). Here a transfer from the Caliente Beach will wait for you and bring you to the hotel. – Night in Le Caliente Beach Lodge HB


8 th May 2017: La Caliente Beach Lodge (B, D) 

 Day excursion.

 Today you have the option to choose from different full day or half day excursions.

Snorkelling, half of a day

Leave the hotel in a kayak 8 in the morning and arrive at the coral reef. Then free snorkel. After, return to the hotel around 12 and 13 in the afternoon.

Bay of St Augustin, full day


Depart the hotel in a 4x4 8 in the morning and there will be a small stop at a forest of baobabs. Once arrived at St Augustin, explore the river in a kayak and then swim in the natural pool. Meal at St Augustin 9 (drinks are not inclusive). Around 2 in the afternoon, leave in a kayak for exploring. An opportunity to stop for photos, then cross the mangroves to discover its fauna and the lemur’s cave. Later on, return to the hotel

9 th May 2017: Tulear - Ranohira (B, D) 

Today you’ll start with the bus the RN7 Road from South to the North, from Tulear till Ranohira. This road portion will take about 4,5 hours’. You’ll cross the first Baobab trees and drive along the special big Mahafaly tombs. A very dry area. We’ll arrive beginning afternoon in Ranohira, the village on the edge of Isalo National Park. This park covers 80,000 hectares and consists of a series of elongated rock formations. Animals that can be seen here are the Fosa (fretkat), the ring-tailed lemur, the sifaka and the brown lemur. Also birds and chameleons can be found in this beautiful park. You’ll pass the night in the Isalo Rock Lodge HB.

This afternoon there will be time to visit several hotel structures in this area to get an idea of the possibilities.


10th May 2017–Ranohira (B, D)

 In the morning we will visit the national park. Several excursions through the national park are possible. One of these hikes will take you  to a magnificent natural swimming pool where you can just relax. Furthermore, you can visit the "Canyon of makis" , we will choose  together one of the possibilities that gives you a nice idea of this park.  Around lunch time we will be back in the village and in the  afternoon we can either visit still a part of the park or visit some hotel structures.   Night in the Isalo Rock Lodge HB





11th May 2017: Ranohira  - Ambalavao (B, D) (about 5,5 hours’ drive)

Early after breakfast we’ll leave Ranohira and go further North on the RN7 to Ambalavao. Before entering the town of Ambalavao we’ll stop to  visit the private Anja park, where you can spot Ringtail Lemurs.

Ambalavao is known also for the artisanal paper factory and silk factories. In the afternoon there will still be time for this and to visit some hotel.

Night in the Bougainvilliees hotel in centre town and next to the paper factory.


12 th May 2017: Ambalavao – Ambositra - Antsirabe (B, D)

 Ealry after breakfast, we continue and  drive about 7 hours further North to Antsirabe. We’ll first pass the small town of Ambositra, known  for its woodcarving, we will make a stop here and have lunch and visit 1 or 2 hotels before going further. We’ll arrive late afternoon in  Antsirabe. Antsirabe is known for its man-powered rickshaws, also called pousse-pousse, and for its semi-precious stones and hot springs.  You will stay in the very nice Couleur Café hotel in center town. We’ll try to visit directly some hotels upon arrival and make a small city  tour.




13 th May 2017: Antsirabe - Andasibe (B, D)

After an early breakfast we can  make a small Tour through Antsirabe before continuing North another 3,5 hours’s drive to the capital and from there over the RN2 3,5 hours’ East till Andasibe. Along the way we will visit a butterfly and reptile park and have the possibility to take lunch in Moramanga or somewhere along the road. Andasibe has a national park of 810 hectares. This national park is considered one of the nicest parks of Madagascar. You will find 11 species of half monkeys, many species of birds, large chameleons, an orchid park, rosewood trees, lianas, etc. In this forest, the largest of the lemurs is found - the Indri. Night in the Feon’ny Ala hotel.

14 May 2017 : Andasibe (B, D) 

 Today you’ll stay in Andasibe and in the morning we’ll visit the national park for about 2,5 hours’. After lunchtime there will be time to see  different hotels and different kind of private parks possible to visit – so that you will get a good idea of all the possibilities here.

 Night in the Feon’ny Ala hotel.







15 May 2017 : Andasibe – Antananarivo - departure (B, D)

Today we’ll take an early breakfast and leave early, 3,5 hour’s back to the capital where you can take your intercontinental flight back.
